THANK YOU to everyone who has been following us on our Appalachian Trail adventure! Yesterday we finally reached the summit of Mt. Katahdin on a beautiful, crystal clear day. We couldn't have dreamed of better weather for our last day. It has meant so much to us to know of everyone who has been thinking of us and following our blog and our trip. Above are just a few pictures from the end of the journey. We will post more when we get home and have all of our friends pictures too. We'll see everyone soon!
Congratulations Jenn & Sarah. Stan had called us Wed. night and said you had texted him and that you had finished. We are so proud of you. You now have an experience you will never forget. Hope Stan gets to see y'all on his way back home. Congratulations again!!

I heard about your trip a few months ago and thought about you yesterday while hiking a short stretch of the AT in the Smokies with my daughter Katherine. I googled your blog and learned the exciting news. What an accomplishment to complete such a fantastic hike that many of us have only dreamed of doing.
